About the Role:

  • Triaging incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visit
  • Monitoring and caring for hospitalized patients.
  •  Obtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates
  • Executing, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic events

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our AAHA-accredited, two-doctor private practice team at Stratham-Newfields Veterinary Hospital.

Duties include but are not limited to, assisting with blood draws, restraining animals, assisting with taking x-rays, running our in-house laboratory equipment, and recovering patients.


The ideal candidate should be proficient with multitasking, and time management, and be able to work unsupervised.


The position is for full or part-time, M-F, with a two-hour weekend shift each week, and an occasional overnight (for additional compensation) once fully trained.

As a Veterinary Assistant/technician, you will be responsible for animal restraint, patient care, record keeping and interacting with clients.
